C500T Mechanical Stressing Test
The attached picture was taken during a mechanical stressing experiment of C500T. The experiment shows another advantage of the C500T technology over the C200T. In the experiment a stressing force was applied between the 2 electrodes of C500T. At 550 Kg stressing power no influence was detected on the capacitor both mechanically and later on electrically. The setup is limited to 600Kg, and therefore we did not proceed above 550Kg. In the C200T for comparison, the electrodes were dismantled at 150Kg.
The improved resistance for electrode pulling in the C500T solves a sensitivity of the C200T for over tightening of the mounting bolts.
